Kouang Si Waterfall : Visit to the memorable Kouang Si Waterfall outside Louang Prabang in Laos in December 2005. Includes the village at the base of the falls, where a tiger is kept. I then climbed to a vantage point before climbing a track to the top of the falls, over the stream leading down to the falls, and then the track back down. Wet and exhilarating. The highlight was the monks bathing underneath the falls.

Luang Prabang - Phou Si : I visted Louang Prabang in December 2005. Phou Si is the sacred hill containing several temples including the temple at the summit, Phousi Stupa and three monasteries including Wat Tham. I went up there early in the morning whhen the hill was still covered in mist. Beautiful.

Village outside Kouang Si : A village near the waterfall our minivan stopped on the way back to Louang Prabang in December 2005. We were supposed to 'buy' the wares on offer. Unexpected and we were not impressed. Lots of little kids demanding money for their photos, which on principle I don't do. We were all tired and irritated by their behaviour. Crass consumerism at its worse. Unpleasant, but I took some good shots.
